Which models will my computer run?
Memory matters most. A graphics card makes answers faster. The app checks for you, or try the model explorer here.
8 GB memory
Small models (1B to 4B) for quick answers. Fine for everyday chat on a laptop.
16 GB memory
Good 7B to 12B models. A graphics card makes them several times faster.
32 GB or more
Larger and mixture-of-experts models; image reading alongside chat.
Up and running in three steps

Open the app and sign in with your free account (your browser opens once).

Pick a model from “Best for this computer” and download it.
- 3
Press Start and ask your first question. After that it works offline too.
Opening a test build?
Test builds aren't signed yet. On Windows choose More info → Run anyway; on a Mac use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway once. Details
