What stays on your computer and what doesn't.

Stays on your computer

  • Models run on your computer, reachable only from your computer (127.0.0.1), with a random key per start.
  • Chats are saved in a local database in the app's folder.
  • API keys (when cloud models arrive) go into your operating system's keychain. The app's window can save or remove a key, never read it back.

Leaves your computer

  • Web searches and the pages read for an answer.
  • Pages the AI opens in the browser, only on sites you allowed.
  • Model downloads from Hugging Face.

Guards

  • Web requests go through a guard that refuses private, local and link-local addresses, and checks every redirect.
  • The AI asks before searching on its own and before acting on a new site.
  • Websites in the browser panel can't call into the app.

Your account on this website

The desktop app needs an account (free). It holds your name, email, and usage counts. Never your messages. For each computer you sign in on, the site also stores the approved device name, operating system, app version, and a hash of its revocable device token. The app currently syncs account profile and plan only; it does not upload chats or usage events.
